PRIORITIES
Jeremy Founds is tired of Oklahoma being ranked last in everything that matters. That’s why he wants to improve education, lower healthcare costs, and support Oklahoma families especially our veterans and their families.
I want to recruit, train, and retain great teachers.
We’re losing good teachers to nearby states with better pay. We do need to find ways to get our teachers compensated more and to build better facilities. This could go beyond JUST pay, we could subsidize their housing and look for other ways to bridge the gap.
EDUCATION
We all know people who cannot afford health care right now. Oklahoma families are stuck in a cycle where they either make too much or too little to get healthcare assistance. In office I would push for health care cost transparency, expanding soonercare, and creating prescription drug policies that have fixed prices for certain percriptions.
AFFORDABLE HEALTHCARE
We need these data centers, but we need transparency. A data center does not take up as much water as a golf course, BUT we still need a trade off of a water plant nearby so we are not draining water from our community with no water return.

Jeremy Founds didn't set out to run for office. But after the Democratic Party of Oklahoma approached him to run for the unopposed seat in his district, he realized District 80 needed someone willing to show up. He is answering the call to serve his country for the second time.
Jeremy served in the United States Marine Corps from 2000 to 2006. The main values of the marine corps are honor, courage, commitment. Jeremy served our country with those values overseas and carries them into his civilian life today.
After returning, he spent time working for large corporations, ran a successful local restaurant for five years, spent time in the mortgage business where he learned the ins and outs of the issues facing housing in Oklahoma. Ultimately, Jeremy saw first hand the issues facing his fellow veterans once they returned to the US and decided to dedicate his days to helping them.
Which led him to study social work at OU and volunteer with his fellow veterans and community at the coffee bunker, local VA’s, and a trauma focused non profit called Humble Warrior Collective.
He's seen firsthand what happens when our government fails people who have served the country in the and now he’s seeing it in Oklahoma, specifically in our school systems, with healthcare access, and housing. That’s why he answered the call, a second time, to serve.
He and his son live in Bixby, where they attend his sons football games and ride bicycles in the local parks.
Jeremy is running for House District 80 because he believes Oklahoma needs new leadership. to why Bixby needs new leadership now, the current leadership has let Oklahoma fall behind in everything that matters; education, children are going hungry, and we’re pandering to large corporations instead of investing money in Oklahoma families.

Our opponent has been running unopposed for years now with no accountability. We have the opportunity to hold him accountable now, but we need support to make it happen.
